Our hosts at the b and b welcomed us back from the beach this afternoon with the tale of how our suitcase had nearly been loaded into another punter's car.
Apparently they'd had a family in who had booked three rooms, and the passage where we'd left our suitcase after we'd checked out was also full of the family's cases which the man of the family loaded heroically solo into his car. He picked up our case, but was spotted by one of the b and b owners and was told that no, that case didn't belong to his family.
"Just imagine" the b and b guy said to us, ""them finding your knickers when they got home." We had to laugh. There weren't any knickers in the case. Quite what a family would have made of the following I shudder to imagine:
an acrylic rod, a small whip, ten rolls of horse bandages, a bag of clothes pegs, a pin wheel, masking tape, safety scissors.
