There are several ways of looking at this.

The recession may or may not have any affect upon PDs business. If it doesn't fine and dandy, we are lucky and good for us.

If it does, then Boo Hoo, we are doing less sessions than we would like and are earning less money than before or we would like.

Now, who is to say that any PD will tell the truth to total strangers on a open forum about how much they earn or how many sessions they run, whether it be a good or bad business period.

I think you have to bear it in mind that PDs, myself included may feel we are able to be honest and say if we have quiet periods or maybe we just bluff and bullshit to make it appear as if all is well. None of us like to admit that when money is tight, what we offer is actually a luxury which can and in some cases must be stopped, albeit temporarily at least.

I have been a PD for so long now that I have seen my way through two small financial downturns as well as this major recession. I have also lived and PD'ed in three different places each with more or less available subs to session with. We have up and downs and seasonal fluctuations and know that and factor it in to our budgeting.

I would be surprised if PDs will be running to throw open their financial records for all to see as actually it is their business and theirs alone. Only Mr Taxman will actually know how much we earn during this recession.

24/7 subs and slaves can and do live similar lives, it is only the concept of 'ownership' which separates them.

I don't know that professional domination has ever really 'boomed'?

I'd say it is as steady as it ever was with enough peaks and troughs to keep you on your toes so that you never become too complacent or comfortable, but then nor do we have to consider getting a paper round.

My response is mind your own sodding business and my question is doesn't anyone out there have enough of a life to ask some relevant, pertinent original and/or sensible questions? What is this preoccupation with how much PDs earn?

Well I'm sure that Gordon Brown is thankful for small mercies! After all the hassle he got into with bailing out the banks, he's probably very grateful that there's not going to be a need to Nationalise Pro-Dommes for the good of the country.

Can you imagine it? The waiting lists? Turning up for your appointment and having to wait in a crowded waiting room full of other subs until you are called: "Mr Spero for tickling, Room 3 please. Mr Spero to Room 3 please." Though I'm sure that some might enjoy the voyeurism and humiliation of it all. Or turning up for a session of strap-on play only to find that the Mistress has done a sickie and that they can fit you in 2 hours later for some sissifoication or foot worship.
