So here we go, off on our annual 'pilgrimage' to Denmark to an S&M camp for a whole week. But first we're visiting a friend in Copenhagen. We met her at SISC last year and she's been across to visit us a few times this year. Now we're going to see her for a couple of days, and then we'll all go off to the "Disneyland of Deviance" together - as phrased by one of our fellow attendees last year!
I'm looking forward to it. I know I can go to munches and talk BDSM stuff there, I can play in clubs and talk about all manner of subjects with my friends, but this! This is relaxation for me in totality. I'm not going to be driving. I don't have to set foot outside the camp if I don't want to. I can dress however I want, if I want. I can be undressed, semi dressed, naked or in full fetish getup if that pleases me (or him). We can play if we want, when we want, and how we want. I can sit about all day and read books, or sleep as long as I want. The dungeons, cells and outdoor play areas are available 24 hours a day. It's not unusual to hear screams coming from inside the dungeons at 4am, luckily the sleeping areas aren't too close.
The food will be a cold buffet type breakfast, continental meats, cheeses and breads, with the addition of eggs and toast or cereal for those who want it. Lunch is more of the same with salads and pickled fish and whatever might be left over from dinner the night before. Dinner is at least two courses, and sometimes three.
Wine is a little bit over a tenner a bottle and beer a bit over a pound, coffee and tea are included in the price for the week, along with the food, as is the accommodation and all the dungeon space you could want.
I can spend hours sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars, such clear skies as the camp is sited far away from light pollution. I can bask in the sauna or lie in a hammock tied to the trees.
If I feel particularly energetic, I can take a walk down to the village, about 10 minutes away, and buy an ice cream. Or a newspaper or snacks or any one of a number of other things. No fridge magnets though! I checked!
I'm looking forward to meeting up with people we know from last year, and the years before. This is going to be my eighth visit. I love it!
