Mike just rang to say that the barbeque is fired up, sausages are sizzling, people are feasting and rain WILL NOT stop play! Get yourself along there NOW - TONIGHT Thursday 6th August - to join the throng at The Putney Barbeque Munch, Bricklayers' Arms, Waterman Street, London SW15 and take along summat to cook to go with the salad and bread rolls kindly provided by LAM and Putney Munch. The pub's open 'til normal closing time. It's the best pub in London for well-kept real ales both bottled and on tap. It has lovely staff and management along with a very welcoming and friendly attitude from them and a host of munchers. So why are you still at home???

That was fun. A true testament to the spirit of the Putney munchers that we managed to have a successful BBQ in the pouring rain. It is so good to be home. | |

It was a lovely night, thank you to everyone who helped out, including the wonderful people who actually stood in the rain to barbecue, you were stars, especially the man who was a first time Putney muncher, it was really appreciated. I got drenched getting from the car to the pub so looked hot and bedraggled the whole evening, but had great fun and it was good to see so many people there enjoying themselves. And especially wonderful to have Dr Gas back where she belongs! Sorry that I did not get to meet and greet all the people who were first timers at Putney, I will try to do better next time. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did?

I think that was probably the best munch night we've had in ages And given we started the evening with torrential rain, 150+ members of fulham football club in the bar, and the police in attendance, I think we did rather well. such a shame we missed this.. i have been ill all week but decided i was going to be well enough to come so topped my self up on sugar and painkillers and sorted out food and everything and we left the house and it was totaly pouring down with rain and sir decided that i just wasnt well enough and that we should go home and watch kids films in bed instead.. still a shame that we didnt make it though, sounds like it went well even with the rain!! hopefully we shall make it along to the next munch and come and meet everyone then!! naz x | |
