I awoke just after 4am and was a little surprised that the room was in darkness and immediately thought it was earlier than it was. Even though its summer, the nights have begun to draw in already and dawn becomes a little reluctant to stir. Whatever season it is, dusk and dawn are my favourite times of day!
Regardless of the actual time though, I was wide awake, and there was no going back to sleep! It's a pleasant occurrence, no analysis needed - I know the reason for my lack of sleep 
So I've sat here for nearly 2 hours feeling the freshness of a new day awaken from its slumber, watching the sky brighten with every passing minute, and hearing the different squawks and chirps of birds flying overhead, whilst within these walls, there's no music and no talking...
It's just me, and my thoughts...

You're right. It is a magical time.
