Ok, i know this is probably a bit boring to most LOL but i have just downloaded second life and need someone to tell me how to get to good areas and what to do etc.

I used to play a lot on there. Starting off can be a bit daunting to be honest, but the game is what you make it, you can RP, build, play games, make stuff and sell it... etc etc etc. Its up to you if you wish to turn real money into lindens, obviously if you want to make your character look stunning, you have to invest in skin, ao, clothes, shape etc etc...not to mention tons of shoes and hair lol... But there again you have a wealth of choices ingame. There are a lot of places for noobies, one of the best shops is called the freedove, a lot of designers etc donate free starter packs there, and a lot of older players will be there to help, show and advise those who are interested in improving upon the base start character. There are some lovely communities on there, some amazing things to see and do, and of course if you so wish, many places to play and meet play-partners in. Using the search for events is helpful, there are free courses, and shows, and training camps etc. I found that Torley Linden on you-tube helped me a load to get to grips with the interface and all i could do in there, his vids are quirky, and easy to understand... http://www.youtube.com/user/Torley Apart from that enjoy it, but it can be highly addictive lol... i ended up with my own sim, club, mansion, and erm... well it became more than a hobby, so i had to step back cos it was merging into my first life too much lol.... Damn now i wanna go back in there from my self enforced stay-away ban lol... Enjoy ! | |

I used to play on there a lot too. I was very lucky found a club where everyone was very friendly and 'showed' me the way. Basically be pateint with it, and ask questions if you don't know how to do something. Large amoutn of people on there are friendly and will help.
