I have to dissagree I'm afraid. Whilst I agree that the death penalty is a 100% effective deterrent (no one executed has ever re offended), the useless brigade are so inept and sometimes downright ciminally corrupt that I could never be completely sure that someone guilty was 100% so. In principle I agree but in practice I can't. I think if you really want to being the country back to respect other people have a sense of self discipline and realise that actions have consequences then bring back the cane into schools. Teachers decided that they didn't want to be able to control their classes and gave up on maintaining discipline, now we have 13 year olds in court because of minor bad behaviour in the playground which is plainly ridiculous. If children learn that bad behaviour has a quick and painful consequence they will hopefully learn that will also be the case in adult life too. U nfortunately improving behaviour will not put as much money into the pockets of fat cat lawyers, and they are the people who make up out governments. If you want change don't vote for a lawyer! | |

Hash penalties are needed. Yes give teachers back the power to discipline children. Ah well with that comes reform of the benefits system and not paying single mums loads of money (and a proposed 50% increase!) and a jump to the top of the housing queue. Some women today make a concious choice not to try inschool, not to get a job, but leave school with the sole aim of getting pregnant, with children who are little more than a means to an end. | |

If I was in charge I would Bring back the cane in school for boys and girls. A public vote to bring back capital punishment. Life means life in prison and longer sentences. Completely reform benefits system. Bring back the birch. National service. Reform immigration. Get rid of council tax. Fill the house of commons with female subs and switches. Give everyone in the House of Lords a free orange and a pair of stockings. Just for starters..

I think you are being much too kind. Bring back hanging for single mothers, sterilisation for feral kids, electrocution for shoplifters and transportation for truants. Life sentences for fare evasion. Torture for perverts. DOWN WITH THAT SORT OF THING!
