My article now up on the newly launched www.polyamory.org.uk website - thought this subject might be of interest to few of the poly people here.

This is a new site and it is looking for submissions, so if you have something to say or contribute on the theme of UK polyamoury, please get in touch with the webmaster Graham

"Sometimes it is a more loving act to let someone go than try to keep them, so they can continue their journey toward their best life."

So very true. And hard.

I like your article. Although it's odd to think of you actually having a name :-D

That is a stonking article De, I loved it! Very down to earth and practical. I personally hear the "we are all open with each other, ergo there is never any jealousy" line *far* too much when it comes to poly and I hate it. It only makes us feel bad for what is an utterly natural (if sometimes irrational) emotion, meaning that people avoid talking about it. So thank you :)

A close friend actually wrote this yesterday and after poking him to rephrase a few bits (on jealousy in fact), I do think it is a very nice "this is what I do" piece. If you think it might suit a submission, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Also, thanks to whoever built this website; it is beautiful and fab to navigate :)

Ooh I hate my name and I hate seeing it written down. I prefer De (or Dennis), so pretend you never saw it!

Aw yes it;s sad when one has to let someone go who might've liked to be poly :-( but positive too :-) I truly believe in that situation, that ending a relationship cooperatively can be a loving act.

:-)

Cheers Echo!

Read your friends article and it made me chuckle, some real home truths in there! Have commented on it and suggested he submits it :-)

Aw thanks Sarah :-) found it hard to write really... the whole concept of trying to list some ideas/strategies feels worrying close to 'giving advice'. Was glad when I got in finally in finished though (until I spotted the typos and malapropisms and things I could have said better etc)

You are fab, the article is fab and I don't care a jot that I'm biased. :) It made me feel very lucky to be with such a thoughtful partner and made me think through many occasions when you have used these skills for my benefit (and I few where I've managed it myself - I'm learning! lol)

I love you! (and your occasional little jealous outbursts which almost always make me smile which sayd something for how you handle them!)

:-D favourite jealous moment this week is along the lines of...

" I am having a possessive moment so I am not going to tell you that XXXXX has a crush on you ok, cos you're mine. *grin-pout-grin* "
