It's OK, I'm out now!
But whilst in the bathroom earlier, I locked the door (as you do) only to discover the key breaks in the lock (i.e. the key is in my hand, but the locky bit is in the lock).
Fortunately my housemates were in and we managed together with the good old butter knife to remove the entire lock.
So my advice to everyone (especially if you use a key to lock the bathroom door) is to keep a butter knife (or screwdriver) in the bathroom
