you are not aware that tamiflu is a generic common type influenza buster putting paid to 5 common flu types BUT NOT SWINE FLU

Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) can be used (if given early enough) to prevent people getting influenza if exposed ('prophylaxis' role).
Whilst the initial 'containment' phase of wide-spread use of Tamiflu for prophylaxis for most (?all) contacts of cases has passed, prophylaxis is still being used for 'high-risk' group contacts of presumed (for the community, as most community cases are no longer tested) or confirmed (where testing for swine flu has been performed) cases of swine flu.
Oseltamivir can also be used in a treatment role, to limit the severity of the disease and decrease the duration of illness (and the duration of infectivity). This is especially important for people in a 'high-risk' group.
Are you suggesting these people shouldn't be taking Oseltamivir if they are offered it by a health care professional, and if so, on what basis?.
Whilst there has now been documented Oseltamivir resistance for 'swine flu', the majority of circulating swine flu virus remains sensitive to Tamiflu.
On what grounds are you saying that Tamiflu is ineffective for 'swine flu'? (a.k.a. Swine-lineage Human Influenza A, H1N1).

Swine flu is killing LESS than normal wintr types of flu.
Unless youhave existing condition esp respiratory or imune system knackering you will take upto 14 full days drom getting bug to being ill. Nasty for a week then recover and still be contagious.
|
Again, where do you get the idea that people are contagious once they have recovered?.
This is a possibility for those whose immune systems are 'knackered' (as you have phrased it), but for people whose immune systems are normal, they are not infectious once they no longer have symptoms.
If you believe me to be wrong on any of these points, I'll be happy to point you to resources backing up what I'm saying.
If you believe you are correct on the points I've challenged you on - cites please.
Cheers,
Badg1.
