Had a great time ![]()
Arrived just after 1, parked and set about putting my tent up. New tent, which I hadn't used before (never a good idea) but with a bit of help I managed to get it up. I went and signed up for activities, then had a quick look around the stalls.
I changed into a white T-shirt for the sub-hunt. The hunt seemed a lot easier for the subs this year, as there were fewer doms. I didn't have to run around nearly so much this time. I escaped relatively unscathed, and then got soaked by a bucket of water at the very end when I wasn't paying attention.
I had a quick dip in the pool to cool down and then watched some of the needle demo.
I then headed off for the gunge wrestling - something I've never done before, or really thought about doing. But I firmly believe in trying new things if the opportunity arises, so I decided to give it a go. It was a lot of fun ![]()
The gunge looked a bit like wallpaper paste, but was incredibly slippery - I almost fell over getting into the pool. I grappled with my opponent, the lovely MissyRed, with limited success (actually, I did a lot better than I thought I would). After much sliding and slipping around I wore myself out and headed for the pool to clean up and recover.
After relaxing in the pool for a while I went back to my tent and changed. I grabbed some food (hog roast - yum) and then watched the collaring ceremony.
The band started playing again and I danced in the rain with a few other brave / stupid people. The music was really good (even if he wouldn't play Iron Maiden), and I had great time jumping around with my fellow revellers.
The music ended and I headed inside to warm up a bit and watched people in the vac cube. Later on I watched the fire play, which was quite dramatic. I began to flag a little sometime around half twelve and went back to my tent and slept like a log.
On Sunday morning I packed my tent up and headed home, a bit achy, a bit bruised and very, very happy
