Need advice as to what would make you want to reply to a memo you recieved on here. Any tips on making that initial contact? I'm trying to help a friend write a memo, but as a tomboy that is sitting here smelling of horses with hay in my hair and shavings in my pockets I just don't feel qualified to give advice as to what a girl might want to hear, so please help us out!
Edited to add that I would quite like to know myself, so i might nab myself a pretty little thing without the aid of all my rope!

Tell them exactly why you're memoing them and what your intentions are. Friends? date? Tell them why you decided to memo them. What was it about their profile that they liked? flattery, but not too much. Be very very polite! And do say that you would like to have a reply, even if it's just to say thanks but no thanks. And ask any questions that their profile has made you think of! Take an interest. And of course, write a bit about yourself. That's all I can think of!

Well on those odd, very odd, occasions when I have received a memo from someone I have immediately checked their profile and looked at their posts. If I like what I see they may get a reply. So my advice is to make sure she has filled out an interesting profile and posted well.
I came, I saw, I concurred

Some good points, i'm unsure about asking for a reply, everytime i get a memo that asks me for a reply i end up thinking "fuck you, don't tell me what to do", but then maybe thats the rebelious tomboy in me. Anyone else feel like this?

I find I get better replies from something funny & sincere over the essays I wrote when I first joined. No-one likes having all that information thrust upon them. If there were two of you, which one would win?
