Yes, that reminds me of when I started out as a Pd over eleven years ago and I agreed to do a full on, hard, lengthy caning to the point of drawing blood and beyond. I thought I had been smart by insisting he brought his own hard wooden paddles, straps and canes so as to not contaminate mine with his blood. I thought I had been smart to cover the bed completely in a leatherette throw for easy sterilising after. Oh yes, I thought I had been pretty smart.
After the session which I enjoyed as I am capable of taking great sadistic pleasure in that sort of thing, I looked around the spare room. What did I see? Blood droplets on the walls, on cupboards, on carpet and on the ceiling. I had to have the whole room redecorated and all the carpets steam cleaned and the furniture disinfected all over. It took me forever and I was less than impressed. Not so smart as I had thought, I realised ruefully.

hi i have not run for the hills;
i came here to ask advise i could have went down earls court
