Been reinventing the wheel today, a client wanted a high quality DI box to run on phantom power, it has to have a good signal to noise ratio and a rechargeable battery supply.
So using the good old TLO72 duel opamp and a bit of technical bull shit I designed the best circuit ever, I am using a voltage regulator and a resistor acting as a pseudo short to regulate the current for the battery trickle charge (the only 2 componet nicad charger I know) and a excellent design that I designed a few years ago.
I have finished designing the PCB foil pattern and intent to start the fabrication and fault finding process tomorrow.
Oops wrong website!!
Anyway I was thinking of designing a small electronic device that could deliver a sharp shock (just to remind them who's boss)triggered by a mobile phone anybody interested? Bet somebody else has beaten me to it

The Radial J48 box along with several others already does this however as a broadcast engineer the notion of running anything active from my nice clean phantom supply is a definite no no ......... On mobile controlled electro kit - thts been done too ! GF2
Subs are like kites - they only fly if you hold the string ... |
