I don't particularly go out of my way to check out new bands and music.

Im abit blinkered in that sense as of late.

I just stick to my old favourites

I mean the closest I get to it is occasionally going to a pub such as The Dublin Castle, Hectors House and the likes to listen to open mic night etc etc.

Any recommendations? Any genre people, I listen to almost anything.

b.fleischmann - angst is not a weltanschauung (2008)

Ulrich Schnauss - Goodbye

Malcolm Middleton - Waxing Gibbous

Those are good if you enjoy pretty melodies and meloncholy lyrics

Jesse Somfay - Catch In The Voice is a great minimal, long strung out sort of trance/electronica album (I am not very good with genres)

The Phantom Band - Checkmate Savage

DJ Hell - Teufelswerk

Are good if you like your techno

M83 - Saturdays Youth is a good pop dancy album with some very pretty tunes

La Roux is my latest purchase, fabulous 80's style electro pop and the singer is rather sexy too.

Just listen to Annie Mac's mashup on Friday nite on Radio 1 or on the radioplayer anytime later for a week. If there isnt something noo and funky in that lot, you may have died....

I think too much, therefore I am a bit of a twat.
