So, I cut my finger unintentionally earlier this afternoon and felt dizzy and weak. All the while this was happening I couldn't but think of what it would be like to lose blood intentionally in a BDSM environment. I'm still wary about bloodletting so for those who have tried it what would you suggest? It is worth it? How does it make you feel after? What is the procedure after losing blood? What equipment is likely to be used? etc. etc.

how about next time you cut your finger you give me a call, as long as its evening I could fly over in a couple of minutes

If cutting your finger does this do you really want to try anything more? I'd suspect the sight of blood is what made you feel giddy. My first bit of advice would be don't do it, but if you're determined: I would recommed getting a professional (nurse or phlebotomist) to show you how it's done, and make sure you measure how much you're letting. I'd say start at 200ml, no more than once a month or you risk anaemia. (for reference blood donors give 500ml every 12-16 weeks) Always use sterile single use equipment, and you'll need to drink plenty afterwards. Step by step answer What would we suggest? Needles and cutting are our favourites and least complicated of the ones we indulge in. Is it worth it? Yes, *for us*. I love the sensation of bloodletting of pretty much any kind and Will has a blood fetish (actually so do I, I just get to indulge it less). We are pretty perfectly matched in this regard. I don't really scar from cuts and needles only ever leave tiny pinpricks. How does it make you feel? Giggly, high, buzzy... all the things happy drugs would be like without the side affects. But then again, I know I react exceptionally well to this sort of thing, so this may not be the same general experience. If you feel dizzy and weak when you see your own blood, this may not be for you! What is the procedure afterwards? Well, make sure the person is sitting/ lying comfortably in the first place in case of sudden lightheadedness, always use steri wipes afterwards and cover them to prevent any fluid bonding. Milk and cookies are great afterwards and ensure you have a sharps bin for sharps disposal. I wrote up how we do a lot of our cutting things over here, which may help. Equipment likely to be used depends on the type of bloodletting you decide to use. Just, please, make very sure it is sterile! Hope this helps, Exx

I'm quite into bloodletting in some ways. Used to be quite a bloodsports enthusiast when I was younger and obviously invincible. However I'm far too sensible for my own good these days and wouldn't want to do anything too extreme in case I harm myself (in a very unintentional way).
I'm just going to go to the blood van and donate some, that way it's morally justified and I can still have fun *oooh shiny needle*

... not that I'd need to be morally justified! I meant that more as a self-justification thing :/

Thanks for that. Very expertly written. I can imagine you two cutting each other with sharpish blades all giddily leaving a trail of red blood marks everywhere, ah! Now, that's real romance. Where should one cut? Where should one not cut?

Blood play! God damn, one of my favourite things to do, but unfortunately don't do very often for the obvious reasons. Gosh, its been way too long. Turns me absoloutly insane. I can't believe I've no control |
