Following a memo exchange with a lovely lady on here about "types" it got me thinking. How many of you are currently involved with someone who isn't your usual type? After years of dating the same kind of men, ones I had always been attracted to (cocky, loud, "alpha" and come to think of it, arseholes) I found myself meeting a guy who was nothing like that - someone quieter, geeky, a sub newly turned dom, someone quietly sure of himself. I couldn't be happier. Has anyone else had this experience? Or did you find "your type"?

Well, me, I guess. By chance, most of my long term relationships have been with petite, dark skinned sub or switchey women. Mostly less than 5' 2". Now with a tall, red head dominatrix. And very happy to be so! But it was only ever other folks who thought the previouses were of a 'type' - they were very different people anyway. Why poison your liver when I could eat it for you?

Most of my ex boyfriends were rather neanderthal in most aspects. However, I remember first chatting to Master on irc (where we met initially) and within five days I was travelling to Bath where He met me on the platform of the train station.
He'd seen pictures of me but I hadn't seen any of Him at the time. I remember initially thinking - His hair is curly, and it's too light (When people say they have brown hair I think of my own natural hair colour which is rather dark). We went to the pub and I noticed that He was wearing rather smart shoes and chinos and although He was wearing a black T-shirt it was nicely fitted on His body. His bum was nicely framed in His chinos too Looking back, I used to think He wasn't my "Usual" type because His hair was just too light. I prefered darker hair in general, so I'd constantly tease Him about it being almost ginger (He was strawberry blonde as a child). As for types, I guess I don't really have one anymore. I've fancied men that aren't my usual type because of something in their personality, something that not even I can put my finger on...
When it comes to women.... I'm still learning there
Danke Schoen, darling Danke Schoen. Thank you for all the joy and pain.

I tend to be attracted more to men with darker hair too. The only exception being David Sylvian! I've also observed that I am usually quite attracted to somebody with a 'strong' nose, not neccessarily big, just one that stands out in some way. And confidence, they have to have self-confidence (not arrogance). By that I don't mean somebody who never has a bad day, more somebody who is able to handle having a bad day.
A sense of rhythym is also quite attractive to me... haha! I'll stop now |
