My younger sister finally lost her long battle with cancer on the 20th June at the tender age of 37 leaving 4 children, 2 grandchildren and a devastated family. Here is my eulogy to her:
OUR TRACEY
Well what can I say, where do I begin to describe such a person so caring within.
A sister, a daughter, a friend and a lover. An aunt, a grandma, a wife and a mother.
A true nature lover of all that is pure, she never said no to a stray at her door.
The strays she has nurtured their angel she's been, a real florence Nightingale on the animal scene.
She'll be in zoo heaven with the monkeys and dogs, and her favourite collectables the pigs and the frogs
I'm sad for us all that you're physically not here, but deep down inside I know you are near.
We spent time together and talked about things, like what happens next and what it would bring.
We talked about worries, being nervous and scared, and how you would let people know that you cared.
The laws of the universe, mother nature and faith, fate, and old handbags that arn't up to date.
Physical limits and how they would go, no pain, no hunger, no worries, no woe.
As free as a bird to watch over us, to guide us, suprise us and show us your love.
You were never alone, the family were there, but we wern't the only ones showing we care.
Another was with you, you know who I mean, the little ones clues were all number thirteen.
You said you'd come see me, I'll know when you're there, that flickering lightbulb, that breeze in the air.
No sooner you passed, a message came through. A bell chime for me and white roses for you.
God bless Tracey. x
