I wanted to blog on Friday about how proud i am and of my feelings for my daughter, but couldn't. Someone on here lost their son, and i couldn't bring myself in his sadness to post about my happiness for my child. It didn't seem right. I could never imagine how he must feel, my heart goes out to him.
It was my daughters prom on Friday, and after much preperation, discussion, phone calls and everything else that took place... i have to say i am immensely proud of her. She chose to wear one of my vintage kimonos, knowing she would be different to all the others there, and i made her a matching underbust in silk to wear as an obi. She knocked them sideways!
She will never read this, but all i wanted to say was how much i love her, unconditionally. You looked stunning.. and in your words.. 'You looked girly', Beautiful and stunning!
i know K was so proud of you and missed you so much while you were gone, the texts proved that!
This is one event, a milestone, that will stick with both of us forever.
With love,
mom and R X
