Hooray! Puppies and beasts and dragons and Munchies and MY mascot. . .Mosely the monkey! It's going to be a great picnic and I just can't wait! I've already got my kite packed up and ready to go. . .can't do the food yet though or it will be really yucky by Saturday.

Will there be picnic tables at the site?

As far as I remember there are picnic tables, not sure how many though. I'm in oblivion on friday night , with my b/friend(yes shiney shoes can vouch he is not a figment of my imagination!) So will wish you all the best for the munch , and hope its good weather for all..As I'm going punting on the cam.......

Well, I've checked the met office site and the weather still looks good for Saturday

If by some quirk of fate, or poor forecasting, we're rained off then we'll be in the pub - The Schooner - which is right by the lakes.

Looking forward to it and see you all on Saturday

Just another reminder for Saturday.

We'll be there from 2pm and the rainy day plan is to go to The Schooner Inn which is just by the lakes.

Feel free to ring 07759 484558 on the day if you can't find us.

And, did I mention that there may be pie?...

We'll be just by the car park. So, come along at 2pm. Bring your food and drink and perhaps something to share and enjoy the lakes, countryside, and most importantly, the company

Although this is a vanilla event in a vanilla environment, usual munch rules apply so 18s and over only please.

Don't forget to pack your sun cream, blankets etc. We will keep an eye on the weather and post regarding that in this thread nearer the time.

As far as I can see, the Met office is now predicting a clear morning and light to medium rain all afternoon.

Anyone managed to come across more optimistic predictions?

all i'm finding is rain aswell >_<. although apparently it's highs of 18 degrees lol. @__@

Same here sadly. I'm going to check the weather again tomorrow and see. We still have the rainy day plan of meeting in the Schooner.
