I'm inclined to agree that more pests identify as subs, but I'm not sure that the annoying percentage of subs is higher, and it's probably true that doms have a greater potential to be a nuisance by dint of standing on their hind legs and carrying all those things. I can certainly think of more female tops than subs that have actively pissed me off. Free film about The London Corporal Punishment School can be seen at http://www.the-firm.org/Cinema.htm

Maybe its so the Doms dont find themselves suddenly developing feelings of submission around dominant women. Quite amazing the number of "Doms" on IC and other places who trot out the "I know you're not looking, and I am totally Dom, but I'd be interesting in seeing what its like from the other side and you seem really nice" line. It'd cause mass hysteria, cats and dogs living together and all that.

I agree with Ms_Valentine. While doing our homework for The Cruel Huntress stuff we found that the vast majority of submissive men do not want dominant men present in any form or fashion while engaging in D/s activities.
Which is a bit of a bugger as we have loads of dominant gentlemen who would love to participate but cant. Personally I have no objection to dominanting alongside a male dominant, Im more than comfortable in my ability to not feel put off by their presence, though I do have to admit I love the idea of having a pure femdom S&M actvity here in the UK, and that is exactly what we are hoping to achieve with The Cruel Huntress.

Thanks for the hard evidence And it does appear to be the broad picture from this thread, especially when combined with Ishmael's theory about rivalry between groups of men being more visible than between women. Regards, Tanos www.tanos.org.uk

I actually prefer a mixed event " The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. Resist it
and your soul grows sick with longing, for the things it has forbidden
itself"

The only "issues" I've ever had at events have involved malesubs practically insisting that I Domme them, despite telling them that I'm submissive! It's by no means *all* malesubs, but those that do it are very annoying (especially when they start following me around like a lost puppy), and I've never had a femsub ask me the same. Before this topic is laid to rest, I wonder if anyone had any ideas about the structured ritual aspect that was mentioned. Do Femdoms (or is it the male subs?) prefer structure and ritual? Or just in groups? What is up? The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It could be! Although Club Pedestal is (mostly) organised by male admirers of dominant women, for dominant women's pleasure. Perhaps we have more of an abundance of creative ideas for scenarios, events and parties? An event which is totally FemDom oriented does have a rather special 'feel' to it. I'm sure that a totally MaleDom event would have its own special dynamic too, were someone to organise it. Regarding my own personal experience I have met *some* doms at events/social events in the dim past who were disparaging about male submissives; and who were oddly disturbed by seeing/the idea of seeing another man's cock. I also have encountered *a few* professed dominant men try to 'turn' me - perhaps they regarded it as a challenge! However I must say that the majority of Doms I've met have been a pleasure to know - as have most kinky people.
Apropos of the OP mentioning OWK - I've always thought it should be called OWQ
