Two (1 and 2) events recently have stressed that only female dominants are to be involved, and there are others out there. The OWK in particular has a no male dominants rule. Maybe not something that interferes with female dominance as such but sometimes, it might be nice to be in a male dominant free zone for other reasons. One I can think of is if the female Dominant wants her male sub to have fun without anyone dominant men around. Whilst this does not refer to all male Doms, some can make male subs feel as though they must be weak and pathetic to be submissive. This is not conducive any male sub being able to express his character fully and happily. Just a thought. 24/7 subs and slaves can and do live similar lives, it is only the concept of 'ownership' which separates them. | ||

Are both of these events specifically Femdom / malesub activity? I think the subhunt was. I guess Female Dominants in a general BDSM event find themselves in a minority among females and a minority among dominants. At a tangent - does any event exist without male submissives? The only thing I can think of are all-female events, where obviously the male dominant is also not permitted. Kitten... Kitten! | ||

Personally I don't think male dominance interferes with female dominance. Certainly not in my instance anyway. I do prefer mixed events as a rule, but enjoy Pedestal etc. I'm glad we have both. But I do find events sans doms are less of a cattle market. | ||

A lot of male doms can be very disparaging to/about male subs.
