 Strange things happen as you get older, you seem to gain experience, not only about other things, but about yourself, and what you can and cannot do, so I really shouldn't worry that she doesn't know what she's about. I bet you anything she knows quite precisely. Once you pass mid 40 the fast bursts of effort are not so easy, but the longer, steadier stamina-related things are actually much easier. You also get a better idea of how to work to make things happen, how to learn new things, and to stop worrying about time. I've been delighted with the many stories here about older folk who are really surprisingly active.
If you see her again, then maybe it would be worth asking her for her views on what you could do to be in the same state when you reach her age. She may surprise you 'To Oblivion, and beyond!' | ||

I've lost count of the number of times I've been told that I'm too young to be a Dom. Or too young to be in the scene. OK, it's certainly not like that for me now I've got a better network and the scene is generally getting younger - but it used to be. I was tying up my girlfriends with ties when I was 15 and was teaching other people about D/s online at the same sort of age. I've been turned away from Fet clubs that are 18+, when I've had ID proving my age. It took me literally 15 seconds using search on the main page with "young Dom" to find this blog which says:

People set boundaries but those boundaries are arbitrary and ridiculous. we set a boundary that it's only OK for people over 18 to drink. Well, fair enough. We set the same boundary that it's only OK for people over 18 to talk about fetish (eg here on IC)? Why? Because they don't know about it before then? Well they do and it's just meaning they're having to sneak around the way I was. Maybe too old is when the individual feels they are too old. But equally maybe old enough is when the person feels they're old enough? In the end, it's a case that we're preconditioned to the idea that "oh they're over 18, they have rights, can't take them away" vs "They're under 18, they don't have rights, just push them where you want them".
