There's some 60 ft narrow boats for sale in the Victoria Quays in Sheffield. Excellent looking. I took a friend to look at some at the weekend. He's bought a new fitted boat from China that is being shipped over to his new 'home' mooring on the edge of London, allowing him to cycle the towpath to work in the centre. Great news! So pleased for you I loved the idea so much I actually had booked a mooring space up here, but was then tempted by a wee hoose by the sea. Could easily be tempted back into boaty life though, especially if was on a midge-free lochin... xxx | |||

Thanks for all the replies I am having a minor hiccup with the money - apparently the current limit for unsecured loans is £15k and **she** wont consent to a secured loan even though I gave her the damn house that I paid for over many years....Shheeesshhh. Gonna have to try a loan app for £15k and cross my fingers I can find something adequate for that.....
I was looking at cheaper boats to start with which are just, almost within my grasp, but they all have serious defects
