Definitions of Vanilla

1: Nice but boring flavour of ice-cream

2: Having sex in the “missionary position” with the lights out.

3: Thinking that a costume drama is something to do with the BBC

4: Thinking that BDSM is something to do with whips n stuff

5: Thinking that “sub” has something to do with sandwiches

6: Being tied up is something to do with meetings

Or simply that they have knowledge of BDSM but that it doesnt float their boat. Not all vanillas are completely un-educated in the ways of D/s lifestyles. They just make their own choice not to indulge.

Very true both my close friends know about me but choose not to be involved, however in my experience a lot of vanilla people are as small minded as those who used do to go gay bashing

I think you will find that there are equally as many closed minded BDSM people. Just because someone is accepting of other people who share their same perversion does not mean they are open minded to everything.

Vanilla people are BDSM people are the same people. I loath the attitude that we are somehow better or even just different. BDSM is just one bit of all our lives (to varying degrees) and we all shaped by different needs, wants and interests.
