OMG I have decided to go through my contacts list... Due to the fact that I want to be more selective and after getting to know people more on IC and face to face I don't want em on there. I do know that others look on your friends list and think because there your contacts they have to be ok, I am sorry I can not vouch for anyone but myself....
This could be for more than one reason: I don't really talk to them much: they have been disrespectful to my Dom or myself: they are not what they seem on line to reality: after meeting them I don't like em: I don't know them enough: I just wonder what the Fook! there not worth any of my head space or just plain old simple, i don't remember who they are.
So after reflecting who's who and choosing the people to go, so if you are one of the contacts that has been removed, you should know why so don't even go there, the others that don't, I just don't know you enough to keep you there.
Don't we all have free choice to choose whats right for us, I mean we can't choose our family but we should be able to choose our contacts/friends... So have you deleted on your contact list and whats the reasons?
Edited to say: I just don't want to collect names as trophies.

I deleted all mine, I normally went through them once a year and deleted those I'd all but lost contact with or those I'd only met in passing. This year I thought.............. Fuck it! To much emphasis is spent on "who's on who's" network, some use it as a power statement, some as a networking tool, oh and lets not forget the ones who see it as a punishment tool when they think you've been nawty! LOL To quote popeye, "I am what I am."

I don't blame you one bit. I've done mine a few weeks ago, and deleted one or two for very personal reasons. Suffice to say, those still on there, I've met, and like, and regard them as lovely people. The others? Well they just weren't worth my time.

O I love this one, I have now started to comment under the names of people on mine contacts list so others will know if its a one meet or not. If people don't like the comments they are free to press the delete, i don't give a fook! Its helped me lose two more contacts while doing the comments.... yeppee! not my problem. Networks should represent a list of those people that you know something about - if not it may as well be a telephone book. I think everyone should put a comment against the contact to qualify them in some way. If people were more discerning about joining or accepting network contacts then it might actually be useful. | |

I have only met one person from this site. My contact list is therefore very small. But I look at some peoples' lists and they run into hundreds. How can you keep in contact with that many people. Once a year I go through my Email contacts list and delete dozens of people - mainly EBay contacts or customer service addresses.
I would never ask anyone to vouch for someone else or ask them to introduce me to someone. Nick Nick | |

I cleared mine out recently, there are many different people on it ... some I have met some I have not. I'd definitely recommend anyone checking networks as a reference for someone to contact the network holder and ask about them directly.
