Just received this email tell me what you think of that.

Dear Madame Caramel

Please accept our apologies in advance for this unsolicited mail and also for taking up some of your valuable time. But please read this through.

In our time as professional Dominants, we have like all of you reading this, been cursed with time waster's, many of whom confirm the appointment they made then not turn up for it.

Well that gave us the idea of forming an association, whereby we could compile a database of time wasters phone numbers and names. Then distribute it among the membership at frequent intervals. This of course would only work if all professional Dominants forwarded on the time wasters numbers and names to us for insertion onto the database.

I very much like the idea of this as so do Mistress Gloves and The Essex Master. If you think this would be a good idea please respond to this email if you don't sorry for wasting your valuable time. I would visualise membership to The Professional Dominants Association to be in the region of £20 - £25 per annum. If you do reply or wish to join all future mail will come from the email address of PDA@madamursula.com (PDA)

The other aims we have for this association are below

Professional Dominants Association (PDA)

Aims

1: - To keep a list of all persistent time wasters by way of a list with weekly updates, sent out by email to each member.

2: - To keep an up to date list of all members for public viewing in locational order, so that clients can find easily a dominant in a desired area, who is a member of the PDA.

.

3: - To eventually award each dominant member of the PDA with a star rating, according to premises equipment, and value for money.

4: - To be an intermediary in disputes between PDA dominants and clients and also PDA Dominant and any other Dominant PDA member or not.

5: - To arrange seminars very similar to the domcon ones run in the USA by Mistress Cyan.

I think it is a complete waste of time.

I wouldn't join.

You would need some mechanism to prevent "malicous blacklisting".

There is a site thats been linked here with subs rating pro-dommes, pd's rating other pd's could be a bit like MP's vetting their own expences.

All the PDs I know already do that anong themselves and do it for free.

£23 - £30 seems a lot for a weekly Email and as stated there is a lot of room for abuse and without any legal foundation, there will be.

It smells like a very poor, unimaginative scam. They should try a little harder, specially the grammar.

This sort of thing has been mooted from time to time, as have "qualifications" for PDs. I personally don't need to pay someone I don't know to give me information that I and many others already share between ourselves.

Poorly written, poorly thought-out and arrogant in the extreme to put oneself in a position where they feel they can judge and grade their peers ... who are these people anyway?

Some people are like slinkies ... they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs :-D
Some people say I'm a bitch, that's just not true - I have the heart and soul of a kind and gentle person ... in a jar, on my desk, next to my cane.

Exactly.......who are these people? I only give out info on timewasters etc to those that I know and trust, and receive info from those that trust me.

The numbers '914' and certain newspapers come to mind.

Yes, it might have been more warmly welcomed had all of us been contacted first and asked what we thought about the setting up of an association, with the idea we might all, if we wished get involved at an early stage. Not just had a well advanced plan sent around to some but by no means all of us.

Maybe they should have suggested a get together to meet other PDs and talk things over, like a mini PD conference.

Out of a informal initial gathering we could have, if we had decided it was a good idea started some form of collective or association.

I am certainly not in favour of any organisation which without asking the masses, decides it will be able to set up a grading system for PDs. Much like trying to work out what is best apples or pears.....similar but also in so many ways different. A PD with little in the way of advanced facilities may be excellent at her speciality say D/s or CP and may in fact be much better than those with amazing 'dungeons' and no real skill or ability to deal with people.

By all means have a group to talk, promote good standards and share ideas and experiences but not one which sets itself up as THE body and has 'power' to award gold stars or whatever.

Having looked at the website mentioned by the OP, all I can say is it definitely smacks of a scam to me.

I do wonder why the OP seems to keep posting adverts for other people and their enterprises; surely they should be paying for a banner?
