Well I haven't blogged for a while and thought I should update.

Three weeks ago my friend and I went to weigh and the scales were out of order. We go to our local Boots store and have been for quite some time now. We didn't really want to weigh anywhere else so decided to leave it for a week. In truth that probably didn't help me that week as I had a bit of a blow out that night :-(

The blow out was only during that evening but I did manage to put away a dark chocolate Tobelerone and some pizza and a packet of crisps. Went to weigh last week and was gutted that I'd only lost 2lb. The weigh in before that told me I was Xst 2lbs and I wanted 3lb of me so that I could be under Xst (not telling my weight lol) My mate kept telling me that it was still a loss and that that was a good thing. This week I've been bloody good and was determined to do well. Went to weigh this morning and I'm pleased with the result; 4lbs off so now I'm Xst 10lbs.

I've lost 3st 8lbs so far and am finally beginning to see it myself. We went to a BBQ at the weekend and I had lots of nice compliments and of course that cheered me up :-)

At the beginning of my diet on the 11th March I decided that I wanted to lose 4st by the 25th July. We're having a big annual family BBQ then and that was my goal. I've got 4 weeks now to shift another 6lbs.

Won't be stopping there though, as in December my friend and I are off to Berlin to see Rammstein and I want another 2st off by then but I'll have five months in which to do that in.

Wish me luck! :-D

What a fantastic process, and congrats for getting so far! I must say, I did well for a while but recently have put a fair bit back on. I found my body getting into a bit of a rut with the same exercise and food-rationing over too long a period of time. If you see a plateau, it's easy to listen to the rational advice of "don't worry, it's only temporary blah, blah", but the heart does sink. It's an emotional process. A change in food and exercise routine helps, I guess.

After all my recent weight gain, I'm determined to start the process of losing again, so I've started running on the treadmill in the gym again. Now if only I could eat less, dammit! :)
