Quite so. I think its very misleading, this perpetual "Go to a munch! Go to a munch!" advice given universally to all subs who are having difficuly seeking, as though munches are going to be like a dating agency. There is no universal panacaea, and you could easily attend a munch regularly for any length of time without meeting any available domme who is remotely your type.
Far better advice would be to follow up all avenues rather than any particular one. Munches, especially for dommes who are seldom "seeking" anyway are not going to be like a singles bar. By all means go to munches, but use that medium for no more than expanding your circle of kink-aware friends, then *one* way you might meet someone is that a friend might know someone they think is your type. But at the same time,
Selectively memo any dommes who appear to be your type and seeking similar to what you honestly can offer (it ISN'T a waste of time. If you present yourself politely and articulately, some WILL respond)
Post on the IC boards - when ever you actually have something to say, not just to sycophantically agree with every utterance of any "domme", and don't be afraid of being "against the grain" in your opinions so long as you express yourself honestly. It might just get you noticed by someone who thinks and feels as you do and wants the same from a relatonship (worked for me! ).
Check out "vanilla" contact ads for hints of domness, and maybe have a subtly indicative profile of your own (a long shot, but not all potential doms/subs necessarily identify with the scene)
Plus anything else you can think of - it might just work!
Finding the right domme for you against all the odds is like a lottery, so "you've got to be in it to win it" I AM THE GOD OF HELL-FIRE!.....but its my lunch break right now

That's really good advice. I often chat with people who have been to one munch and then given up on it. You're unlikely to find your dream woman at your first munch - I certainly didn't find my dream man!
