I know a few friends do as they send messages when I leave one. So every so often I raise my head and check in.
I've been in deep production with this zombie film. 3 shooting days last week while trying to keep up with making props and costumes for each shoot and cooking for the crew. I'm doing several people's work..and loving it far too much.
I've realised something though. I'm going to have to direct my own films. I thought my lack of experience would make me less qualified than someone who had done a few at least, but working with a director who has some different ideas of how the story works has highlighted the fact that no two people will see a story working in the same way.
So, this project was originally started to give a few people experience. It's turning out to be just as much for me as my film student crew. We always knew the production quality was going to be B-movie, but you know what? I think it's going to be good anyway.
Meanwhile, I've had my guerilla filmmaker initiation. We do have permission to shoot around public areas in Norwich, but graveyards aren't considered entirely public areas. We've only been hassled once, but I was pleased with myself for cajoling the security person long enough that we got the shot before we had to leave. 
It was a bit anal anyway, saying that 'them upstairs' didn't want us walking across the graves, when the churchyard is next to the new shopping mall, with a paved path right through it, and shoppers tromping all over it constantly. technically we only walked between them as well, far more respectful than the dopers who hang out there throwing their empty beer bottles around.
We're past halfway now. And I'll be directing the occult bits while the other director is away in July. So, a good test for me.
Several professonals who have had some connection to dance of the Goblins have said I should direct it myself. I understand why now. The images are too clear in my head. No one else could translate them quite to my satisfaction.
Oh, and I've established that I definitely don't have zombie fetish. Several cute young guys have had my make-up sponge down their shirts and I just don't respond to them in zombie guise.
