See, I think, and I could be wrong, that for me I define topping from the bottom to be those situations where the overall position of the bottom is just that- being the bottom, the receiver- but who does toppish activities (like, say, slapping the face, or spanking) as an agitator for the top. So, an example would be- I'm getting fucked, but not hard enough. His hand is on my throat, I have welts on my ass, he's biting me... but it's just not enough. I top from the bottom by spitting in his face. He then slaps me across the face, hard, which was the result I wanted. I have employed a top activity (being the giver) for the ultimate result of receiving more and harder from the top.
