I've been taking a summer break from IC & my other life in general recently - pressing (but interesting) concerns abound in real life.
Those close to me already know that my partner is an ethnic Nepalese refugee from Bhutan. We've decided to try an alternative course of action with the Home Orifice (oops, Office)! We are compiling an application for Discretionary Leave To Remain which is a huge undertaking. The dossier (not a dodgy one
) will be inches thick by the time it's sent along with the best part of half a grand. Wish us luck an d love!
And... we've been to see our local village Anglican vicar. We *may* be able to be married in our local church - and the H.O. can't do a damned thing about it. It doesn't change his status but it will make us both very happy... Miss Namio now sports an understated emerald ring to match her eyes (not her gills).
So, God & the Dioceseian authorities willing, we're getting married!
