Does anyone know of a kind of tape that can be used for bondage and gagging that doesn't leave a nasty, sticky residue on the skin? Duct tape and insulation tape both leave glue on the skin and it takes a lot of hot water, soap and scrubbing to get it off. Sometimes scrubbing it off has caused my skin to break out in an irritated rash and itch for a few days afterwards. It's not the glue itself that's causing the irritation, but the amount of painful scrubbing I have to do to get it off.
Is there a kind of tape out there that is sticky enough to be effective, but doesn't leave too much (or any) glue on the skin? Any help is greatly appreciated. Froufrou - kinky hand-made tutus.

Not sure what tape you could use but you could try removing the residue with baby oil, it's pretty good at removing sticky stuff and no scrubbing required

A mixture of virgin olive oil and faery liquid removes almost anything sticky. Bondage tape is made so that it only sticks to itself. You can buy it almost everywhere now. Zen S&M: The sound of one hand smacking.

Bondage tape is awesome for binding limbs, but I've found doesn't make a terribly effective gag... unless you use yards and yards of it.

Silver duck tape is the traditional choice of kidnappers etc. I've used it before, and I don't recall it leaving a residue, but I did need to cut it off, so make sure you leave room to get shears in. Also, if it's pressed onto the skin hard enough for long enough, it sticks very strongly, such that peeling it off is quite painful and will leave red marks. you could use a medical tape called SLEEK, I've used it to good effect! ETA: if your local chemist doesn't stock it, they'll order if for you. You sunk my battleship! Edited 12 Jun 09, 8:20 PM by Queen_Victoria

I like silver duck tape too, and I haven't noticed it leaving sticky residue either. It doesn't hurt me *that* much when it's pulled off - but don't trap any hairs, because it does sting when it rips them all out. Though, that's good if the person has a moustache you don't like.

Duck do a lovely low-tack version of the parcel tape that those subbies just know is going to rip their lips off when you finally tear it away. Except, of course, it doesn't. But, tis most amusing: the pleading you get... the looks in their eyes as you reach down to finally rip it away - and the terribly grateful "I'll be your friend forever" look when they realise their skin has not come off on the tape. I have a large roll. It looks identical to glossy khaki parcel tape. Except it isn't. Before you ask - I have no idea what it is called. Best to all. Patience is bitter - but its fruit is sweet.
