Just a general post to point out that I have just changed my name on our profile from Ella to Echo. No, himself has not got another girl and replaced me on our joint profile, but thanks to those who memoed us within 2 mins of the change with messages of WTF? I just love being stalked 
Ella is a lovely name, but was never one that I was particularly comfortable with (the only reason I chose it was because it used to be the name on my, ahem, “novelty” ID a few years ago). I don't mind being called it, but, well, it's just time for a bit of a change. And I have a few friends with similar names and people are always getting us mixed up!
There isn't any *significant* reason for the name Echo... I guess the main would be that I have mild word synesthesia and it has always been one of my top three words; plus, I love the poem by Christina Rossetti.
I did not in any way choose it because of the Greek myth or because of Whedon. Not quite that much of a geek! Sorry.
Theoretically, this is a permanent change. I may feel differently in a week or so though. If so, no one has permission to mock me for it.

There's much more scope for punnage with this name too. Such as, "Can you hear an echo around here?", etc. Richard Whitely would be proud! x Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections. | ||

Apart from Dollhouse, my other first thought was that you'd just used the NATO phonetic alphabet to come up with a name using the first letter of Ella... It's amusing how many people leap to the geeky conclusions first! I like Echo, cuz it's more like a "proper" screen name :P - My brain nearly exploded the first time I heard your names weren't actually Will and Ella. Will can be Whiskey! | ||
