God, I loved that programme when I was younger. Sadly, I saw some of it recently and thought it was utter crap.

Having a sproglet is a good excuse to watch children's TV - on one channel, you get repeats of Bagpuss, The Wombles, and even The Herbs. Even Ivor The Engine was on the other night.

However, compared to some of the kids' programmes of today, they do seem like something from another world. Thankfully, though, sproglet loves Bedknobs and Broomsticks, so that's something of a consolation.

My sister and I used to "play it". Goodness knows how, but I recall having to walk (with very fine balance) along a high wall in our garden.

Sadly, the bit at the end, with the maze and the invisible baddie, always ended up with me getting got (and then her exacting some terrible - and probably painful - revenge).

Yes, when I've caught it since it's terrible. Doesn't stop me having fond memories of the totally dark maze though, with the money dangling from the ceiling (and wasn't the currency in ROYGBIV ascendancy or something?).

As for the channel of which you speak, I may be acquainted with it - even though Bagpuss makes me cry (and want to be six again). I don't let not having kids affect my 'inappropriate' tastes - i once went to see Elmo in Grouchland at the cinema on my own (I'm glad I'm not a bloke, that wouldn't have gone down well) and was the only person at a Jim Henson exhibition without a sproglet in tow.

It's rare that i go to an event where I can see over the heads of everyone else *sigh*... happy memories. :-)

Do I look too domly?

They're all on there too! The channel used to be called Noggin the evening - I can't remember what it's called now - Nick Jr Classics, I think.

We've also seen Mr Benn and Bod on there - Bod is just as crap second time around, sadly...

Hahaha! Bagpuss is a bit creepy, I think - I didn't like the frog or the ragdoll as a child, and they're still weird as an adult.

Actually, one of the super things about being a mum is being able to do all the kids' stuff without feeling in the least bit self-conscious - it's like a second childhood for me! :-)

The Adventue Game was, and to my knowlege still is, the only game show to combine the excitement and invention of science-fiction with the raw, erotic power of Moira Stewart.

Your estimation of the show as 'utter crap' is obviously utterly wrong and you deserve shoving on that grid in space thing that featured at the end of each show and which sadly didn't fry Keith Chegwin when he had a go on it in 1982.

I've never spent much time in school, but I've taught ladies plenty, its true I hire my body out for pay, a-hey hey.
