It doesn't surprise me...

What's more 'shocking' is that Brown hasn't resigned/called a General election yet...

Ruin my reputation?...
...What reputation?...

I'm not surprized, just disgusted.

Gordon Brown looks shambolic at the moment; i was embarrassed to see him dishevelled and reluctantly representing the fallen at the DDay memorials.

He and his party have created real distrust and apathy in politics, not only about shrilling that they were to be whiter than white and then Labour MPs screwing the system, but also ignoring public opinion on so many issues over time; war in iraq, the Dr Kelly matter, hiding bad news....and so it goes on and on and on.

We no longer trust Brown, we are no longer interested in his vanity. He should accept that his reponsibility is to the country and not to himself and his ongoing desire to prove he can ascend Mr Blair.

Mr Brown is a manager, not a director. Mr Brown certainly is not a world leader; Sarcosy and Obama make him appear as lightweight without vision or credibility. Obama was correct when he would not give Brown his unqualified support saying that he has a special realtionship with all other EU countries... Britain plc (sic) needs a new CEO and a new board of directors.....

The BNP have been given the opportunity to be voted in to power because people feel that they are not being listened to by Brown and New Labour. The fact is they are not being listened to by Brown and New labour and so voters have no alternative but to think the unthinkable.....a bit like Dr Kelly, who, come to think of it, also had no alternatives and was forced by Gordon Brown and new labour into ending his life.

Gordon Brown should announce his leaving at the next election, cash in his expenses and whatever else he gets by staying on until the election and then tell the queen tomorrow that he is ending this parliament.

Lets us have a fresh start, a rebirth, a new beginning.

Oh yes, that makes sense. We don't like the government, so let's vote fascist. Good thinking. :(

Being disillusioned is no excuse. I'm no fan of Gordon Brown but it wasn't him who voted for the BNP. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.

The economic crisis we're in at the moment certainly has nothing whatsoever to do with immigration. Boom and bust is a natural phenomenon, the economic and social equivalent of night and day. It's very comforting to blame the government, bankers etc, but the fact is that the economy is the sum total of the actions of individuals. There couldn't have been a collapse in the sub-prime mortgage market unless there were sub-prime borrowers, taking on loans that they couldn't pay back. I remember a few years ago seeing some couple on tv who had lied on their mortgage application and got into huge debt; when asked if they blamed themselves, they complained that the bank had made it too easy for them to borrow with no questions asked. Duh!

Yes, Brown should have built up a budget surplus when times were good, but the only way he could do that was by raising taxes and cutting spending, thus dampening the economy and preventing a bubble in assets - but then who would have voted for a government of party-poopers?

Other than that, the economy is in crisis the world over and it would be impossible to completely insulate the UK from that. The depression of the 1930's originated in the over-supply of credit in the Roaring Twenties, and lead to "disillusionment" in people all over the world, most notably in Germany.

That ring any bells?
