Just planning early- cos you have to, cos the other people nick the best seats innit?
So far I have our Nige and two Polish(?) guys playing an unspecified programme, Pletnev conducting my favourite guys- the Philharmonia doing Rach 3, sibelius 2 and Pyotr's overchoor- Voyevoda (scrummy), and Beet 1,5 and 8 IN ONE NIGHT!!!! 5 and 8! 5 and 8! I'll be a little puddle of wetness, I so truly think I'll have to go and die and go to heaven on 10 march 2010.
And I have two others- two Philharmonias in May and June next year that aren't even on the website (more Rach- Shost/Pyotr/Prkofiev) - so I'll phone tomorrow.
I so don't know how I am going to wait until March next year. I shall be the very Model of Patience, and a saint, but I may have to play 5 and 8 very loud tomorrow.
Da da da daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

A feast of Russianness (plus Ludwig). I'm wondering if anyone ever performs Cantata for The Twentieth Anniversary of The October Revolution; had never heard of it until discovering a discusssion of it in a book recently. Monumental and controversial for sure; wondering whether it's also good. Sounds like you have an enjoyable season ahead. Enjoy.
