Nice to see so many of you at SWAMP last Sunday.

Many thanks to those of you that helped moved furniture and helped with DMing and that helped us out with anything else. We always appreciate any help we can get as it keeps SWAMP running smoothly, so if you would like to help please get in touch with me. MistressAnita(g) xxx

Hya, I would volunteer, but would I be insured whilst helping in the event of an accident etc or some other unforeseen incident? Have heard of people being injured while moving kit etc about the place and need to be sure I'd be covered if I required time off work at all :)

Hi all, Just to add my thoughts to Anita and Pauls,- there isn't a single complaint about the new venue that wasn't addressed by Anita, Paul, and myself when we first went to look at the new venue. We all saw the stairs as being an issue (as it is at every other fetish market in the UK).

The difficult part is finding a kink friendly management along with a venue that has the ability to house a dungeon and a social/ market area separately. I think Lounge@30 does that perfectly: the downside is that it's separated by a flight of stairs. Always remember, the venue itself may not be disabled friendly but the SWAMP staff are, and we'll always help you to get from floor to floor if you're having difficulty. Steve x

Just a quick note to anyone that has mobility problems, Ceasers in the West Midlands is suitable for the disabled in fact we do have people in wheelchairs that attend. If anyone would like to check out the venue the next Midlands Play Munch will be held next sunday 5th July, 2pm - 10.00pm Midlands Play Munch

Hugs & swishes X

Hi M

I am surprised that the SWAMP team have not answered your question regarding insurance at SWAMP.

Although I have not been part of the SWAMP team/committee for a couple of months...I do know that there was no insurance then...several members of the team brought this matter to the committee a number of times...although quotes were obtained they were not actioned.

So any helpers should be aware that if there is a mishap they are not covered...Ghost has already said that he has injured himself moving the furniture...and we all know he is young and fit...

Hope this information helps...

This conversation would have been better held in private; in my own opinion.

Just wanted to know what was happening? Not a reply or memo from any of the SWAMP team. I guess they didn't want any help or didn't want to answer my question (which would have been easy)

Oh well

Instead of asking this on the open forums, perhaps it might be better and less embarassing to memo one or more of the swamp team regarding your question.

Danke Schoen, darling Danke Schoen. Thank you for all the joy and pain.

Why is it embarrassing? If there was a problem surely one of the SWAMP Team would have replied by PM...

If the team are asking for helpers to specifically move and carry the furniture up several flights of stairs. Ghost also pointed out that he hurt himself moving furniture at the last event...therefore it is not unreasonable for anyone offering help to ask if they are covered by insurance.

This is the second post suggesting that this matter should be dealt with privately, any member of the SWAMP team could have responded privately but have chosen not to.... so obviously they do not feel embarrassed about this issue...

I feel I must concur as to the lack of response from the swamp committee, they have had a great deal of time to reply with the appropriate information, however members of the committee have taken great care to ensure the safety of people who are playing in the private or public dungeon due to the fact swamp has no public liability insurance as have other clubs and venues.

I cannot honestly answer your question as to why the swamp committee has not given you any answer private or public....

Regards, Ron

I'm sorry that the swamp team have not replied in this matter, I can not offer a reason why? as it is there choice. I have been a member of swamp from its inception and from the best of my knowledge swamp has never had any public liability insurance or insurance of any type so far as I aware which is why we paid such attention to safe play in the private and public Dungeons.

I do not see this as a private matter but with regards to public safety.
