So this weekend i had a wonderful time at the SM Dyke's conference weekend, even if i did spend too much money at the auction
.
It was the first time i had managed to make it along despite wanting to go in the past and I'm really pleased i made the effort despite feeling a bit rubbish. The whole atmosphere was wonderful and the dedication of all those involved shone through. The highlights for me had to be Morphia's advanced needle play workshop, an amazing fire-play workshop presented by Moira and Dennis's caning workshop!
The only downside was that i was way too tired out by the day time events to make the play party or lash for lasses, despite my best efforts! It was a real shame as the day events had really wet my appetite
.
oh well there's always next year! So thanks again to everyone i spoke to and for the wonderful company this weekend.......
On another note, i think most people are aware now but Noise and i are 14 weeks pregnant with our first baby, (which is both very scary and exciting). I'd also like to thank everyone for their well wishes and congratulations.
A special thank you has to go to pinkylucy who kindly passed on "the scene maternity dress" to me after having it in her possession for quite some time. I think the whole concept is really awesome, despite not knowing about it till this weekend, and indicative of the more wonderful side of the scene. I have been feeling really down lately, (no doubt hormones) and it has reminded me why, for the most part, i really love the scene! So a huge thanks for that..... I will also be sure to pass it along, as is tradition, when i no longer need it!
Finally i had my first "proper" scan this week, a big thank you to Lady-Jayne for coming with me as Noise is living it up in Australia until next week. I can't really describe how amazing it was and how real it all feels now! I just want to know what I'm having so i can start nest building, gah I'm so impatient ![]()
