A really big thank you has to go to the team at Retro who turned a shell of a room full of all sort into a dungeon in a few short weeks, I'm sure all those that attended will agree that it looks great. As you will see from above work still needs to be done but Rome was not built in a day. Feedback from the event and ideas are most welcome so please feel free to memo Adrian or myself. (A lift is a bit out of the budget lol) As a whole Satuday went very well both at the new club venue and at the munch. new faces at both which is always nice to see and of course the Dudley regulars. I could go on about how good the venue and club are but I'm going to let you read what the paying public have had to say instead. I recommend that you mark Saturday 11th July on you calender and come and see for yourselves.

Just want to echo what a fantastic job the organisers did to make the club ready for Saturday, it was a fab night. Chris really enjoyed his birthday, though we are still eating chocolate cake...amazes me how people can let there be chocolate cake left-overs!!!!! This venue will just get better and better with the huge support from the club owners. Can't wait till next month. suzy |

wow...what a night. many thanks for all your warm comments, and a huge thanks to the guys at retro club for having the dungeon area ready for us, and having us at their venue. your comments on here and on the night make all the hard work worth it. as has already been said, if you were thinking of coming along and didnt, then it was your loss. there were some teething troubles, and there are some changes to be made, but i think that on the whole, the night was one of the best Dungeon Club nights that we have had. especially as we only saw the venue for a couple of hours last month and half of it was a shell & looked like a bomb site. after chatting with tony (from the venue)on sunday, the downstairs loo, ramp, general access to ground floor, lighting, power points, ground floor reception, and some other bits should (will) be sorted out for next month. A lot of effort is going to go into the new venue and things are going to get a whole lot better over the next couple of months. it starts friday evening/saturday daytime, before the club night, i will be (should be) fitting some fixed playkit in the dungeon area, modifying some of the furniture upstairs, and bringing some new stuff with me. the big screen video should be working, and there should also be some other changes. you can post or memo me with ideas or requests for what you would like at the club, or point out anything that you thought was wrong on the night if you didnt get a chance to see me about it. Thanks to everyone that came along and supported the club and made it such a good night and lastly, i want to send a huge thanks to all the Dungeon Club staff and helpers for all the hard work they put in before and during the club night. many thanks to you all, and i hope to see you all again next month. He meddled with things man was meant to leave alone. |
