I am sitting here pondering how come I constructed a cage which sits alongside my big bondage frame, quite a while ago and yet hardly any one seems to want me to use it with them.
Now, I know it would be a good idea if I put a couple of pics of it up but altering my website is quite a palaver so we tend to be a bit slow in doing this. So, just to ceate an accurate picture, it is made out of very solid timber, attached horizontally between a big bondage frame and the wall. Escape would be really very difficult but then I don't think any subs actually try to fight their way out, do they? Where the sub crawls in, is a door with three locking latches and a place where a head or bottom could be pushed up to or through if tethering in a humiliating way is required.
So, is being put in a cage actually that popular? Come to think about it, it seems as though less of my subs want lengthy, mainly bondage sessions nowadays.
I really enjoy tying , cling-filming, strapping a sub down, up, over, across or in something and just letting him do whatever, he does when in tight, inescapable bondage. I find it rather cathartic to watch over a sub held fast in sleep sack or straight jacket. I know they are drifting off into a wonderful place as the breathing deepens and lengthens and the body just flops in utter relaxation. Sometimes, yes, just sometimes, a sub will fall asleep. I tend to think if that is what he wants to do, then that is fine. The sleep experienced whilst in bondage is normally very profound and refreshing.
I suppose I am thinking of what things can be achieved by a Domme who has a painful foot and cannot leap about her playroom as normal.
Interrogations can be done with some sitting down and even whipping and caning can be performed sitting down. I wonder what else can be done without Mistress being on her painful foot all the time? I will no doubt be giving this some thought over the next few weeks while my foot heals.

If it isn't too painful to touch, get people to give you a gentle foot massage! Or use one of those foot spas! Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus.

Personally I do like cage play, but I do sometimes (well often really) wonder what the Top gets out of it.. I'm a total bondage bunny, I love isolation and prolonged bondage and that's why cages appeal. I tend to go into a meditative state and find the whole experience healing. I get confused when I see other subs who spend short periods of time in cages and at all times are after attention when they are locked in. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they shouldn't do that; it's just the opposite of how I react.
And I know that my very passive state when caged confuses the heck out of some Tops, so go figure I do know that when I go to places that have cages, they're rarely used for prolonged scenes. People seem to go "ooo a cage lets use it" put the subbie in and then seem frustrated that it makes it more difficult to interract than less. It seems to be a part of a lot of peoples fantasies, but the reality seems to be a dissapointment for most. So there are a few of us out there that like prolonged bondage sessions, but we are rarer than people think.

Some years ago I visited my dentist only to find him in a short-leg plaster cast (foot to knee). He borrowed a secretary's chair, the type with castors on it, and was able to scoot about his surgery with no trouble and carry on with his usual work. It occurred to me that you could obtain one of those chairs for sitting down type work and a taller one for work where you would usually be standing. Sorry to hear about your foot, I do hope that you make a speedy recovery. The first man-made object to break the sound barrier was the whip! |
