What I was trying to say (and obviously failed!) is that the ultra-femme, maid type clothing could be humiliating for women too. Well at least for me anyway.

I would feel a bit silly. Feminisation or just feeling ridiculous? I don't know...Waffling a bit here....

Sure, it's not everyones cup of tea. Personally I'd feel silly dressed like a character out of the Village People.

However being a maid doesn't automatically equal being a sissy maid: as much as I like that type of thing myself, doing the housework in a frilly satin dress with a corset and seven layer net petticoat is a *touch* warm, and standing in 4" heels for two hours doing to ironing is...uncomfortable. Fine if you're being punished I guess but it's not practical for day-to-day work!

I don't dress my subs to humiliate them, I use it as a tool to encourage their exploration of themselves and help them unlock desires and fantasies. Part of the femme dressing is because it goes against what society expects them to be. It may embarrass them at first, the fear of 'what if someone saw me like this' is humiliating and exciting at the same time.

But after a while, they enjoy it, they take on different roles and experiment with their feelings and desires. They are playing with societal expectations and often a long history of male namecalling (sissy, girl, gay, etc).

I've dressed as a female for more years than i care to remember. I feel more confident and empowered dressed as a female than i do as a dressed as a male.

I do dress my subs in female clothing, although i do it to define their role rather than to make them more submissive.

Also dispute on 'degrading'! male into femininity as Ms Despotic wrote is quite understandable. I however see this differently; In my opinion degration comes in here because of his masculinity is taken away as he can only be useful on lower tasks such as domestic servitude rather than being a bull.

As Miss Kimberley wrote that most men admire women. One can believe in that women are much more aesthetic then men and even the male organ can be seen as a deformation of a bodypart. Ưn this case as an inferior sex, male serves to his domme by eliminating his masculinity. One way of doing it is perhaps to accept recieving hormones to reduce his organ size,create curves on his body...etc.

Most women wouldn't be turned on by the feminized male and that is probably because of lack of perfect generic femininity in him. This situation also creates another humiliating element(which can be seen erotic) and in my view it doesn't touch female supremacy at all.

Finally I must emphasize that all the points raised above are just perspectives and most probably doesnot show any conformity with existing average gender politics.

Who says it has to be practical? I think many subs relish the impracticality of it in some ways! It just takes a little longer (and more discomfort for the sub) to get the work done, but as long as it is done to a good standard that's the most important thing surely.

I have no experience of male maids, but I've made a female sub do housework for me, wearing a tightly-laced corset, full petticoat and high heels (no satin dress though, so that may have helped avoid the overheating problem!). She also had nipple clamps on and was gagged for the whole time, and I think she found it a good experience, and certainly felt submissive during it, without it being humiliating.

I think someone touched on this already,i have just come home and flitted through the thread.

I don't think the man feels 'lesser' by being dressed as a woman in the context that women are 'lesser' so being dressed as one makes him the same.It is the emasculation of himself that does that,his male identity taken away and added to that made to do menial tedious work.

It is a difficult one to put into words and as with most things in life people view the same subject differently.
