The real casualties here are members of extended family - my children's partners families, their friends and families and workmates and fellow students who were unaware of the nature of the holiday accommodation I offer. Wish I knew what to do about this lot. Fighting the press is not easy, due to their position.

At the moment there is not a lot I or anyone else can do - Bank holidays are such an easy time to strike as you know that the object of your strike cannot get legal assistance or advice until the Tuesday.

I intend to talk to the Press Complaints Commission on Tuesday morning and see what recourse (if any) I have available through them.

I will also be talking to my local police about the behavior of NOTW journalists over the last week - after having spoken to a lot of the other villagers and the aggressive questioning some of them received and the general feeling of harassment felt by a lot of them.

Depending on the outcome of those two meetings I may take further legal advice - before talking to NOTW own legal department.

Really sorry you've been treated like this. Horrendous. Roll on the day when consensual BDSM activities are regarded as perfectly acceptable behaviour and nothing one would hide. I do sympathise with being outed to family, friends etc. Hope you can hold your head high and be proud of providing a special and unique facility.

I await the day that a newspaper such as NOTW realises how much extra copy it could sell with headlines supporting alternative lifestyles. Worded in a clever way it could be both profitable to them and of benefit to those who are currently falling victim to such a money making scam as tabloid newspapers.

I/we have been there and felt that.

One of the most difficult things was our own children, and the parents of and children of friends, learning of what we were doing and taking the wrong messages from it, due to press spin.

If they really wanted to protect children they would take that into account: but of course they don't, they just want to sell newspapers and win political clout. So it's easy to jump on a minority unable to adequately defend themselves.

Which is why we have to organise, so we can defend ourselves as our gay friends have already done.

Good luck with the PCC, unless your royalty or someone they like you've got little hope of getting them to do anything.

I'd be looking along the lines of libel if they've quoted you as giving statements which you haven't. The same for the locals as well, nothing like a village group action to put the wind up the Wapping mafia!

Never ever accused of knowingly ever doing anything nice!
