Y is for Yorkshire - a place that even us other Northerners can't understand. L is for the Lake District. It's so beautiful the Southerners made it into a National Park so that they could get their hands on it. Nationalisation of the nice bits of the country that they can't already claim> N is for North, Angel of. A rusting hulk iron supposed to inspire the residents of the North East. L could also be for Lowry who painted matchstick men because they couldn't afford food in them days. A dirty mind is a joy for life. | |

That's easy. Because it's a great city with a great history and some great architecture, peopled, of course, by Geordies who are hospitable, smart and amusing. The girls are sexy and speak in one of Britain's bestest accents...and it's all set in an quite beautiful part of Britain.
