The people who helped most are surprisingly not the people on every night rather the ones who really are genuine,just stay in the background and look after newbies who ask advice and are honest. Sure you know who you are ! Would'nt embarrass you by naming you So THANK YOU Terry

I would like to echo your thoughts as I like to further my knowledge too. I have not come to this late but even though I have had numerous partners I have never had one who fully understood my wants and desires in this area so I have always felt I have taken the journey alone, and made to feel like a freak along the way. Even Mallory had a guide and sometimes I think a sherpa would have been nice.

Reflection can sometimes be cathartic. I have met some lovely people on here and people I would not have met without IC, some real and some online but all have been very kind and helped feed my hunger in some way.

Sometimes I am humbled, and believe me this does not happen very often and reminds me of one of my favourite movie lines 'I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.'

Although a member of IC for a couple of years this is the first time I have posted. The opportunity to add my feelings of appreciation for those regular posters whose insight and eloquence is often inspiring seemed the right time.

At our parties, we attract quite a lot of people who come to us for their first experience of play in a party context, in some cases it's their first real-life kinky experience.

We know how apprehensive most of those people feel about coming along for the first time. I'd like to thank all those who have overcome their nerves and have had the balls to walk through the door and try things for themselves.

We fully understand why people feel nervous the first time and we are good at making people feel comfortable very rapidly, but hats off to everybody who makes the effort and comes along.

There's a huge amount of satisfaction to be got from seeing people walk through the door as a bag of nerves and then seeing them quickly joining in at their chosen level.

There was a particularly remarkable lady who came along for the first time at our last party. She arrived feeling very apprehensive about what might happen, but within just a few minutes she felt so comfortable with everything that she consented to be stripped, blindfolded and have her hands cuffed behind her while other guests ( M & F ) played with her. Her beaming smile will stay with us forever. It's amazing that somebody can so rapidly feel comfortable enough to put themselves into such a unusual situation and as always, our guests were fabulous. They took full advantage of the opportunities, but nobody tried to over-step the mark.

To those who have confronted their inhibitions and taken their first steps towards real life playing, I raise my glass to you.
