A blog issue raised by a couple of other posts I've been following, oh and life experiences...

I'm tall, 6' tall to be fairly precise... I think most would agree that's tall for a woman in the UK... I'm proud of being tall...

In winter, when I'm working it causes me problems... I drive an HGV, I wear safety boots, combat trousers, big jacket & hi-vis vest... I also have short cropped hair... I regularly get mistaken for a guy... usually in service stations... I will admit that the resulting embarrassment of the staff... blue rinse brigade... parents of small child etc... has become a regular source of amusement for me as I go about my job... It's odd... they dont tend to make the same mistake when I'm wearing vest-tops in summer...

HOWEVER... I do not identify as male... Yes I am Butch(ish)... But I am more than happy being 100% genetically female... always have been... and can see no reason for that to change... I'm happy being a dyke...

I can accept passing strangers mistaking me for a guy whilst I'm togged up for work... folks who have never seen me before... never had cause to get to know me... never read my blogs.. or never interacted with me on any other level... to mistake me for being male...

But really... Guys... and Girls... c'mon... sheesh!

Just before anyone jumps on any kind of TS/TG bandwagon and slags me off, I have absolutely no issue with how anyone else wishes to express THEIR gender or sexuality. Just as they do, I wish to be viewed and accepted as ME...

Butch girls rock in my opinion but I can understand it must be frustrating not being accepted as exactly what you are.

I dont know what promted the blog...but im sure my M can wholly agree with the blog.

She also gets a double take and little ole' women asking her if shes in the wrong loos. She often tries to avoid going to the loo in *some* very hetero places.

It can obviously be very difficult sometimes for a strong butch women....

but dammmmmmmmmmmmmm Butch women rock my world!!
