I used to attend the Lancaster munch - very friendly it was too. It used to be at the Water witch, but that became -well, less good, shall we say? We tried a lovely new venue out - but at the end of the first session they told us that we couldn't have a private room there - they needed it on a Saturday. As far as I know nothing was then sorted as far as a venue was concerned. T and I would probably attend bi-monthly (appropriately) if another one started up but couldn't commit to monthly. corriander Does anyone ever read these bits at the bottom? | ||

We'd also be interested in reviving the Lancaster munch, if anyone else wants to. Just hope it doesn't clash with Manchester. Seems there's a few people who'd be interested ... did anyone take this further? | ||

Hi, I may be a little late in sending this, I am in lancaster aswell and it seems very hard to get to know people around here, so if anyone is from this area be great to hear from you. Also am i right in thinking that the preston munch is for men ? as I was going to go I mailed someone who told me it was men only and when I looked on the site etc. I wuld love to go and do need something this side due to other commitments etc makes it difficut to travel to manchester or leeds. | ||

Hi, Just to let you know that the Preston munch is not just for men and never has been. The next one takes place on Wednesday 9th September. You would be most welcome at this friendly munch.

That would be fab, I will be attending alone, and very nervous would I be able to meet someone before hand ?...also is it easy to find people to play with ? | ||

With regards to a meet and greet, contact the prestonmunch profile on IC, however... A munch is not a pick up joint, it's a place to make friends, if you go there looking just to find someone to play with and you will be very disappointed. You get to know people, make friends, talk about all manner of things from the occasional smattering of kink to the football, cars or computers (ok so that might just what I talk about at a munch) Use a munch as a place to realise your not alone, there are other people who are kinky just like you! "that artwork is rather dark" "well yes, I wasn't exactly expecting winnie the pooh!" | ||

Hi, ladyjayne, I do understand that a munch is not a 'pick up joint', to be totally honest I would like to find more people in my area or within easy reach to go to munches with, I am certainly not in the habit of throwing myself at the first person that takes a little bit of interest. Even though I would like to discover my sub side, but I still do have standards, sorry if this has come across wrong I am not a snob by any means, but I have read and heard so much, and thats all I want as much info as I can gather before I throw myself in lol | ||

If this does get going could I please be added to the mailing list as a ex-lancastrian  Has anyone tried at the Robert Gillow (opposite waterstones by the train station)? Here's a random idea: The Robert Gillow sounds like a great venue. So rather than discussing who's running it, or who's going to do a mailing list, I'm going to go there for lunch, with my kitty and an A-Z. If anyone else turns up, we can discuss the logistics of making it a regular event. So ... last Saturday this month. I'll be there at 12. If anyone has prior commitments, or would prefer a different date, just let me know. |
