I live apart from human beings.
My household comprises four and a half cats, 16 giant African land snails, and whatever chooses to feed and rest in my garden.
I don't like human voices in my house. No TV, no radio, and I can't remember the last time I played a CD.
Time off from work, for me, means not having to hear people.
So, I think I may well choke the girl from next door (who sits on the doorstep and has VERY LOUD 'phone conversations) with her very own Jack Russell, who yaps all the fecking time.

Ah, thank god at last, a fellow sufferer. I HATE (first use of capitals in 18 months posting to convey extreme emotion) gratuitous fucking noise. Now that is something truly offensive that a CJB could have banned. Would you like me to call her at 4am to tell her silence is golden? Will willingly do so. To advertise here phone 02477 562966

Would love you to - sadly, her bedroom and mine share a party wall, so no matter how quietly you try to shove that bloody dog down her throat, you'll wake up the MewCrew.
If they're awake, I am awake.

Even though I live in a tower block and it has steel re-inforced concrete walls some residents think it is their god given right to let everyone know what they are doing. Most of the time I can filter it out but sometimes I cannot. I get my own back on them as about 2 hours after they finally go to sleep I start my music up and wedge my sub woofer to the floor/ceiling nearest them and play some heavy bass rock music or rich voice stuff. The last person I did that to has never had a loud party starting at 1am on a monday morning since. I played Iron Maiden's Number of the beast with the reading of the bible passages at the start. On the other hand I would be lost without any music in my life, I do keep it to an acceptable level though.

Likewise on that front... I prefer Sisters of Mercy for drowning them out though! Even though somedays all you crave is just total peace and quiet without having to play music to drown out even more annoying noise. *sighs* Ah well, moving soon!
