So..i start a new job last...im an outreach worker and so will be driving here there and everywhere.
I have a sat nav and usually pop it in my bag at the end of a trip.
The one trip where im popping in somewhere to drop off some bags i leave it in the glove compartment (the cradle still attached to the windscreen) it gets broken into!
I only left the bloody thing for 10 mins!!!!!!!!!
So...they broke my window with a rock and stole my sat nav!!
What a pain in the ass and dont i feel stupid for being do lazy and not taking it out.
Ah well....we live and learn...remind me again why i work with 'Young People' when they do things like this?

Who's to say it was someone young that did it? I know the chances are high.
As for why, maybe because you are a nice person and can see past these things and that even though they do wrong they can be deep down a good person just on the wrong road at the moment, so they need someone like yourself to guide them on the right track. Edited 8 Apr 09, 5:14 PM by Pole_Slut

what ya need to do is grab the nearest children and threaten to come round and smash their toys if anything happens to your car.
they can have my FREEDOM when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

*nods* I lost mine to my first EVER break-in a few weeks ago. I was travelling light as we were wandering round London, and it wouldn't fit in my handbag, so was duly hidden (along with cradle) well under the seat. Windshield duly wiped to hide all evidence too (all over, not just where the thing sat). My insurance company are being awkward and won't consider replacing it without my sending in a receipt or at the very least the instruction manual to prove I owned it. I've NEVER had an uninsured loss, and I've had an awful lot of stress as I couldn't find the instructions or anything! PAH!

It was young people...a witness saw 7 YP..all white dressed in black..they checked out all the cars then went for mine.
Awwwwwwww...thats awful luck..im so sorry to hear that! I think i bought it on my everyday debit card so not sure if its covered. I dont think im going to claim on my car insurance as it'l affect my no-claims and just isn't worth it when i can buy another for £100! C'est la vie! k I've ran out of sick days...so i'm calling in dead Edited 9 Apr 09, 1:33 PM by Katena |
