UK(M), 19 mths Okay, here is an announcement that it really pains me to make, but here goes....
Unfortunately due to personal circumstances we are no longer able to keep The Vault open and it will officially close the doors at the end of April. As im sure you know times have been very hard lately and with the attendance of our events taking much longer than we had planned for to build up to the point where we could break even. Me and my partner can no longer afford to keep the club running. We fought our hardest for months to stop MUD going under and we hoped that we could keep the club open for the community in the new venue but it just hasn't had the interest that we had hoped for and with out an investor to help us pay the rent on the place for longer, we have no choice but to close up. It has been a burning passion of mine to try and give this club to the community. It has taken up my life personally for over 6 months and used up much of our life savings to do so. It is not a decision we have taken lightly. I hope that all who have come to the club have enjoyed it and we would like to see as many of you at our last events this month as possible before the club closes.
AfterLife will of course continue to be held at The Courtyard Bar and will not be affected by the closure of The Vault. The pony play event in May will also be unaffected and will be continuing as planned.
All the Equipment that is owned by the club will be up for sale from the end of April and there will be more updates on this as and when we have more details.
I would like to thank every one who gave up their time to help put the club together. Every one who has shown their support and attended our events. A thanks to our landlords, without whom so many things would not have been possible. Most of all i would like to thank my partner for the support, patience and understanding he has shown during the stressful times!

7 yrs I would like to add some comments on this post. For those who dont know me i am jakes Husband, you may have seen me in the vault.
Its been a very tough decision we have made, we have tried to support the community but our personal finances can stretch no further to keep the venue open. Jake has worked 7 days a week, some days 16 hours a day since November to get the venue working. We have sacrificed, blood, sweat, tears and money in the venue and will be extremely sad to have to walk away from the venue. We both Wish Trojan Steal and Tinkerbell the best of luck with After life, and hope the community will continue to support them.
Please help me to pat jake on his back for all his hard efforts he has done extremely well.
Lastly my thanks to those who helped support Jake in this venture, to name a few Alan, Vicky, Kiba, Keith, John, Sharon, Yvonne.
Please try and come down to see us before we close, we have made some good friends and hope to see you soon.

I and Im sure many others are very sorry to hear this. Although I didnt have the opportunity to visit as often as I would have liked, the place looked amazing and was very well eqiupped. Thanks for your hard work and good luck in whatever ventures you take on in the future.

This is very very sad news indeed and we most certainly have appreciated the time, effort and money you've put into The Vault.
I had great hopes for the future of the venue as it's such a fabulous place, but without paying customers there's little you can do.
We'll be there on Saturday for the Rubber Bolt Hole party, and sad to say it may be our last trip there.
I guess we need a miracle.

Someone willing to make an investment in the place would be good, unfortunately Im guessing there are very few in a position to do so.

We hear all the time people saying we have nowhere to go, and when a wonderful venue opens like the Vault they don't turn up. Im sorry Jake and your husband. It will be a very sad day indeed.

It's obvious that a lot of effort has been put into the upkeep and running of the club and I think I speak for everyone when I say it will be sorely missed.
Friendly staff, droolworthy equipment, great atmosphere, away from the 'nilla crowds, no parking issues, very reasonable entry fees..... What more could we ask for!?!?
I'm absolutely gutted to hear about this. It's a crying shame that we have to lose this venue and of course for Jake and his partner for what they have sacrificed.
